Staple Wardrobe Item

It's been a while since I've done a "Staple Wardrobe Item" post, so I thought I'd share with you something that I think is a classic piece for any wardrobe. I know it's not a clothing item technically, but to be honest it's so gorgeous who cares! Layering necklaces is such a great look, and I think this charming little bee would look great teamed with some more gold chains or just by itself. Alex Monroe is a great jewellery designer, I just love the darling touch that she gives to each individual piece. I hope you all had a lovely weekend, don't forget to let me know what you think, or if you have any other jewellery designers you're admiring at the moment. Happy Monday! X

Nod to MOD

I'm a huge fan of the 60's trend for this winter, it seems so adaptable and easy. Almost every image in the September Issue of Vogue had some reference to the 60's era, so when I stumbled across this little Miu Miu skirt in a local charity shop my heart flipped. I had to take a close-up of the fabric because it really is quite juicy! I think it's the perfect nod to the original houndstooth mini, sported by Twiggy and the likes, and I think it will come in super handy over the autumn/winter months.

First image from Tumblr.

P.S Thank you for your entries into the giveaway, you can still enter here and I will announce the winner over the weekend! X

LFW BABY

London Fashion Week has to be the most exciting time to be in the Capital and I felt super lucky to be a part of it this year! Having watched the shows of Kristian Aadnevik, Christian Blanken and Ziad Ghanem, I was swept up in all the excitement that the week brings. The aura surrounding Somerset House was incredible, and wandering through collections such as Mary Katrantzou felt almost surreal. Ziad Ghanem was definitely my favourite, the show was a complete work of art with men and women of all ages each telling their own stories through their make-up, outfit and presence- even Ghanem's daughter featured as a model- SO cute! Above are a few photos I snapped at Ghanem's show, the first is of my friend Olivia and I- check out my hat, felt a bit like Mary Poppins in it! Anyway hope you're all enjoying Fashion Week and making the most of it all! X
