Icon: Freja

Whoa, so I'm super sorry for not posting in an age, I hope now I'm back at Uni, have internet and back to routine, I'll be able to keep up the blogging. Anyway here's a quick outfit post with my sparkly little vintage gem I bought a while ago. It's a fairly statement piece, but after seeing Freja in emerald green sequins on the cover of Vogue, I was inspired. I'm really into the rich precious stone type colours for this season, so there's a lot of ruby red, amber tones and gorgeous greens popping up in my wardrobe. I hope you're all enjoying this crisper autumn weather, I'm certainly finding it easier to dress for! X

Staple Wardrobe Item

It's been a while since I've done a "Staple Wardrobe Item" post, so I thought I'd share with you something that I think is a classic piece for any wardrobe. I know it's not a clothing item technically, but to be honest it's so gorgeous who cares! Layering necklaces is such a great look, and I think this charming little bee would look great teamed with some more gold chains or just by itself. Alex Monroe is a great jewellery designer, I just love the darling touch that she gives to each individual piece. I hope you all had a lovely weekend, don't forget to let me know what you think, or if you have any other jewellery designers you're admiring at the moment. Happy Monday! X

Nod to MOD

I'm a huge fan of the 60's trend for this winter, it seems so adaptable and easy. Almost every image in the September Issue of Vogue had some reference to the 60's era, so when I stumbled across this little Miu Miu skirt in a local charity shop my heart flipped. I had to take a close-up of the fabric because it really is quite juicy! I think it's the perfect nod to the original houndstooth mini, sported by Twiggy and the likes, and I think it will come in super handy over the autumn/winter months.

First image from Tumblr.

P.S Thank you for your entries into the giveaway, you can still enter here and I will announce the winner over the weekend! X

LFW BABY

London Fashion Week has to be the most exciting time to be in the Capital and I felt super lucky to be a part of it this year! Having watched the shows of Kristian Aadnevik, Christian Blanken and Ziad Ghanem, I was swept up in all the excitement that the week brings. The aura surrounding Somerset House was incredible, and wandering through collections such as Mary Katrantzou felt almost surreal. Ziad Ghanem was definitely my favourite, the show was a complete work of art with men and women of all ages each telling their own stories through their make-up, outfit and presence- even Ghanem's daughter featured as a model- SO cute! Above are a few photos I snapped at Ghanem's show, the first is of my friend Olivia and I- check out my hat, felt a bit like Mary Poppins in it! Anyway hope you're all enjoying Fashion Week and making the most of it all! X

Wish List

Here's my wish list for autumn/winter, I'm saving up to go on a bit of a spree which I think will be quite satisfying! I know everyone is talking about the perfect capsule wardrobe, and I think making a wish list helps keep you focused towards it- well even if it doesn't its nice to have something to dream about! I really like the idea of having key items for your wardrobe such as a staple coat or killer pair of shoes. I'm also loving the fashion ideas for the next couple of months, everything seems very versatile and adaptable, perfect for me as I like to flit from trend to trend and style to style!

Inside the Chanel...

I'm apologising now for the lack of recent posts, anyway now having changed the blog a bit (like the new name?) hopefully I'll be better! Here's just a little snapshot of my holiday booty- so pleased with the vintage junky jewellery and new MAC diva lippy, I thought it was very vampy perfect for autumn, what do you think?! And of course whilst I was in France I was able to pick up CITIZEN K, such a great poolside read! X

I bought this dress at a jumble sale last weekend, though it was pretty groovy with the huge kitsch roses all over it! Yellow really does put you in a cheery mood, I'm definitely a fan! Anyway just a quick post today, I hope to do more and more in the next couple of weeks so please keep visiting! X

I'm thinking of making this a feature on the blog, its just whenever I turn to my wardrobe, its always the staples that never let me down. This particular staple is one that I'm dreaming of adding to my collection. How darling is the collar?! X

Kinky bitch

Anthropomorphism is a term coined in the mid 1700s[1][2] to refer to any attribution of human characteristics (or characteristics assumed or believed by some to belong only to humans) to animals or non-living things, phenomena, material states and objects or abstract concepts. Examples include animals and plants and forces of nature such as winds, rain or the sun depicted as creatures with human motivations, and/or the abilities to reason and converse. The term derives from the combination of the Greek ἄνθρωπος (ánthrōpos), "human" and μορφή (morphē), "shape" or "form".

Diamonds? I'd prefer Chanel...

I would more than very much like a pair of these- but then who honestly wouldn't. They should be issued to all girls like uniform, they go with everything and anything and make anything and everything look oh so effortlessly stylish.
